It is never a good idea to play Poker if you are feeling mad, sad or otherwise indifferent. Poker is not a good way to escape the pitfalls of a bad day, it is quite the opposite. Pay close attention to your mood because the likelihood is that you will play emotional Poker if in these moods, rather playing rationally. As a result, your opponents will be likely to catch on to your mood and use it against you.

If you feel your mood changing during a game and feel that you are beginning to tilt, get up and give yourself a break and return once your mood is more positive. It is always best to play with a clear head, as you will be more perceptive and at the top of your game.
